Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. has started shipping samples of its new development, “e-Rubber”, a sheet that can generate vibrations with low power consumption, in order to find a wider range of its applications.
This product was developed to be applied to cellular phones, etc., as a component that will reduce the required power consumption, space, and weight by more than half compared with conventional vibration devices, such as those driven by motors.
We have been developing the high-polymer dielectric actuator for artificial muscle of artificial arms etc. We focused the fact that this actuator can generate vibration by applying the voltage to it, and succeeded in developing the "e-Rubber."

We will exhibit the "e-Rubber” and demonstrate how it vibrates at our booth (Electronics Suite Zone 3D30 in the Hall 3) at the Cutting-edge IT & Electronics Comprehensive Exhibition “CEATEC Japan 2013,” to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from October 1 to 4.
